The first Saturday of each month, downtown Kosciusko comes alive with bargains galore and community rapport — the monthly Pop Up Flea Market!

An enjoyable way to spend one’s Saturday, the Pop Up Flea Market has been a fun and successful phenomenon in our beloved hometown. Even better, the Mississippi Main Street Association agrees, choosing it as the 2017 Outstanding Economic Impact Award winner.

This marks the second consecutive year in which an event sponsored by the Kosciusko Attala Partnership has been recognized by Mississippi Main Street, with A Step Back in Time winning in 2016.

More from MS Main Street:

Bargains galore and community rapport happen the first Saturday of the month in downtown Kosciusko in a city owned parking lot. Pickers and sellers come together for one big yard sale to barter and banter over one-of-a-kind items. This event started in August 2016 with 15 vendors and slowly continued to grow through November, took a break and resumed in March 2017 with 30 vendors and shoppers waiting for 7 AM to view the merchandise. Our downtown merchants have even gotten into this event by placing sale racks and tables in front of their stores. This event actually morphed into Picking 35, a 50-mile yard sale in conjunction with Attala and Leake counties that took place in April 2017.
