This is the launch of a new series, Kosciusko Photo Tours. In this series, we visit businesses, hot spots, and fun places around the community, telling the story with photographs.
For the inaugural Kosciusko Photo Tour, Kosciusko Attala Partnership CEO Kel McDowell visited the Central Mississippi Flea Market. Located off the historic Kosciusko Court Square, Central Mississippi Flea Market boasts 17,000 square feet of merchant space that features a plethora of fun, collectible, and gorgeous items.

All commentary from Kel:
Ah, yes. Hello, friend. I do enjoy having Central Mississippi Flea Market as a neighbor to our office.
My tour was led by Ken. Always helpful and friendly, with an impeccable knowledge of the vendors’ items, every visit to Central Mississippi Flea Market is enhanced by saying hello to Ken.
Hand-crafted by the vendor, this cart is a beauty.
Really, really pretty.
Hyperspace into my favorite corner of the market.
Truly my favorite corner of the market this is.
“Ayyyyy” — The Fonz Pinball
Old tabletop basketball set, adorned with college pennants around the hoops. Shout out to Penn (third up on the left) and Tennessee (fifth up on the right).
Near-perfect gasoline — Sky Chief was legit.
Really great-looking furniture.
Very cool find. 45’s had to have been best played on the Mickey Mouse record player.
Every visit to Central Mississippi Flea Market is also enhanced by saying hello to Ron.
…and Raggedy Andy.
Junk from our Trunk — a popular booth at the market
A solid survey of collectibles.
This RC cooler is, well, cool.
Alright, after that last bad attempt at clever commentary, I’m out — sailing away. Very enjoyable visit to the Central Mississippi Flea Market. Until next time..
Follow-up: Next time ended up being a visit with Ken and Tina on St. Patrick’s Day!
