Health Science students at the Kosciusko/Attala Career Tech Center are seeking donations in hopes of pursuing a most excellent opportunity.

Via instructor Amy Price:

Health Occupations Students of America (HOSA) is our student organization for the Health Science Classes at the Kosciusko/Attala Career Tech Center.  HOSA is a professional organization that allows the students to develop leadership skills that they will continue to use throughout their future career.  HOSA has District, State, and International Competitions that our students are able to compete in annually.  This year, I have 12 students that have qualified to advance to the International Competition by receiving 1st – 5th place in their chosen category.  The students are as follows:  Dhruv Patel (1st Place in Biomedical Laboratory Science), Anna Claire Blaylock & Natalie Howell (1st Place in Health Career Display), Bailey Britt (3rd Place in Medical Reading), Jake Cockroft, Kamrie Upchurch, Loren Steed, & Brianna Johnson (3rd Place in Biomedical Debate), Curt Pope (3rd Place in Extemporaneous Writing), Kaleigh Myer (4th Place in Physical Therapy), Madeline McCown (5th Place in Medical Assisting), and Abbey McCrory (5th Place in Researched Persuasive Speaking).

International Competition will take place in Orlando, FL at Walt Disney World on June 19-25, 2017.  We would like to request your assistance in sending us to represent our local school districts this summer at the International Competition.  The estimated total cost will be approximately $1,500.00 per student.  Any contribution that you could make would be greatly appreciated.  HOSA must make the final payments by May 15, 2017.

For more information, you may contact me at (662) 289-2689.  Please send any contributions to Amy Price, HOSA Advisor, Kosciusko/Attala Career Tech Center, 450 Hwy 12 East, Kosciusko, MS  39090.  All checks should be made payable to:  HOSA or Kosciusko/Attala CTC.  Thank you in advance for your support of our local school districts and the Kosciusko/Attala CTC’s Health Science Program and HOSA Organization.

Sincerely,
