The Kosciusko Attala Historical Society was founded when concerned citizens wanted to preserve the old PresbyteriancChurch. The church was purchased and renamed the Mary Ricks Thornton Cultural Center. It is now a place for community activities, weddings, and showers. It also home to the Delta Gamma Founder’s Room, in honor of the three local women who started the national fraternity. The purpose of the society is to preserve the history of the county and its local buildings.
