Boo Fest, Mon 10/31

Halloween will soon be upon us again. Let’s add a twist to the Safety Parade this year.  To truly make this a community event, we invite any business to sponsor a booth and let the children experience the activities we knew as a child. Since the Safety Parade is held on the court square, I am proposing that we block off the inside lane (closest to the Courthouse) or Madison Street (in front of Rib Alley) and you are encouraged to place a booth in this area (such as bean toss, go fish,, face painting, etc).

We can get the Mayor’s Youth Council involved as well as other high school clubs that need hours. You may have high school students or know some that you could engage to work your booth for you.  Also you are encouraged to place a sign on or near your booth.  Our local dollar stores are a good source of toys, trinkets, etc as well as Oriental Trading online. This is not necessarily taking the place of the Safety Parade, just adding another dimension to the day. Stores/businesses on the square can choose to do one or both; those businesses not on the square are encouraged to join us in the fun with a booth.

Deadline is September 30, 2016. Please let this office know if you wish to participate, (662)289-2981. Thank you!
